Antique 18ct. Rose gold, Stg. silver, tiger’s eye, diamond and ruby bee brooch

The head of the bee is set with two natural cabochon ruby eyes set either side of a central rose cut diamond.

The thorax and abdomen of the bee are cut en cabochon from natural tiger’s eye.

The chatoyant striped effect of the tiger eye adds to the natural markings found in bees.

A double set of Stg. silver wings are set with old mine cut diamonds they sit to either side of the tiger’s eye body.

Fore, middle and hind legs are finely modelled naturalistically.

The brooch is fixed with a pin and roller safety clasp.
